Tory is a GIS Developer and Cartographer with a conservation background and a passion for storytelling through maps. She received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University in 2013 and her Master’s in GIS Development from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2021. Before joining Audubon, Tory worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and The Wildlands Conservancy, California’s largest nonprofit landowner. In 2017 she joined Audubon as a GIS contractor, taking a full-time GIS Analyst position with the Alaska office last summer. Inside and outside of work, Tory is an avid cartophile and passionate about GIS education, radical geography, and participatory GIS. While not at work you can find her, map in hand, on a long-distance backpacking trip, climbing a big wall, or rappelling through a slot canyon.
