Liz Schold is the coordinator of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail with FWC, where she promotes and facilitates birding and wildlife viewing activities and education across the state. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in evolutionary biology from Harvard University and a master’s degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Liz has been working in ornithological research for nearly a decade on topics ranging from phylogenetics to behavioral ecology, but her passion has always been educating others about science and conservation. She is always seeking new opportunities to connect people with the natural world and foster the next generation of environmental advocates.
