George P. Braxton is an attorney and certified diversity executive who serves as the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Virginia’s Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR). Prior to joining DWR, he was the chief diversity officer at the Defense Contract Management Agency and assistant professor and diversity coordinator at Old Dominion University. Over the past two decades, George’s work has focused on organizational improvement through diversity, equity and inclusion. He is a Richmond, VA native and serves on the boards of the of the Greater Richmond Transit Company and the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities-Richmond.
