Texas Parks and Wildlife
Craig Hensley is a Texas Nature Trackers Biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Through Texas Nature Trackers, he engages naturalists of all interests and ability levels in collecting community science and crowd-sources data on Texas’ unique flora and fauna with a particular focus on species of greatest conservation need. Previously, Craig worked for TPWD as a Wildlife Biologist and as an Interpreter and Resource Specialist with the State Park Division, providing a wide range of outdoor-focused programing on numerous natural history topics, from astronomy to wildflowers. Prior to Texas, Craig served as an environmental educator/naturalist with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Kansas City, Kansas Public School/Library system, as well as private, non-profit nature centers in Minnesota and Nebraska. Craig has a MS in Zoology from the University of Arkansas and a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Arkansas Tech University. Craig is a licensed bird bander and naturalist with an interest in all things natural.
