Pam Martin

Kansas Dept. Wildlife & Parks
Education Specialist
Kansas Wetlands Education Center/Cheyenne Bottoms WA
As the KDWP education specialist stationed at Cheyenne Bottoms, I provide wetland-related programming to schools, libraries, and organizations. Event planning is a passion, and our largest event, the butterfly festival, involves one of my other passions - monarch butterflies. I've been tagging monarchs and holding educational programs about their migration since moving to Kansas in 1991, which happily coincided with the establishment of Monarch Watch by Dr. Chip Taylor at KU. Sharing my love of ecosystems and this amazing planet is central to my programming. I enjoy wildlife photography, reading, horseback riding and anything nature related. I work in clay and plant dying/eco printing.
