Julie Bless
Nevada Department of Wildlife Statewide Wildlife Education Coordinator
Reno, Nevada
Julie Bless is the Statewide Wildlife Education Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator for the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Much of her work involves working with the department’s regional educators to create quality education programming that brings wildlife to classrooms. Julie grew up in northern Illinois but made her getaway after High School. She received her B.S. in Environmental Conservation from Northern Michigan University, and after an internship as a Backcountry Ranger at Baxter State Park in Maine she knew a career in conservation was the right step. She’s worked across the U.S. in several conservation education capacities including a Residential Camp Instructor in Ohio, an Interpretive Naturalist intern with the International Crane Foundation in Wisconsin, an Education Ranger intern with the National Park Service in Colorado, a Naturalist with Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky, and an Education Manager with the National Audubon Society in Missouri prior to joining NDOW.
