I am one of two Texas Nature Trackers Biologists with TPWD. I work to engage community scientists in on-going data collection of the state's flora and fauna through field research and the iNaturalist app. Our program manages 12 collection projects through which community scientists and others can contribute to a better understanding of the distribution of plants and animals while also increasing participant appreciation and understanding of the natural world. Most of my career has involved working in the field of interpretation/outdoor education from Minnesota to Texas. I am a licensed bird bander working on two projects that involve community scientists, one on Loggerhead Shrikes and a second on overwintering grassland sparrows.
